Optimal Business Systems (OBS) is honored to announce that we’ve been selected as a 2025 Black Ambition Semifinalist for our flagship product, Theracuity.
Founded by music icon and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams, Black Ambition is a national initiative that empowers underrepresented founders by providing capital, mentorship, and access to a powerful support network. The program is designed to close the wealth gap and fuel innovation across industries including technology, healthcare, AI, and consumer products.
Why Black Ambition Matters
Being selected as a semifinalist in the Black Ambition Prize competition means more than recognition—it’s an opportunity to build, grow, and scale our mission with the support of top-tier advisors, investors, and a community of visionary founders.
We’re especially proud that Theracuity, our AI-powered and culturally-aware EHR platform for behavioral healthcare, was chosen. Theracuity addresses clinician burnout, inefficient documentation, and patient disengagement by automating progress notes, improving billing accuracy, and enabling continuous patient support through an AI companion mobile app.
Powered by Partnership and Progress
OBS is currently collaborating with a major behavioral health provider in Michigan. This partner is projected to generate recurring revenue with over 500 licensed users, with five additional providers of similar size in our pipeline. Their trust reflects strong market demand for what we’re building.
Through the Black Ambitionist Mentorship Program, powered by Cinematica Labs and supported by Evok Life, our founder and CEO Shola Salako will gain access to strategic coaching and resources that will accelerate Theracuity’s national impact.
A Milestone for OBS and a Moment for the Future
We believe that innovation in behavioral healthcare must be both technologically advanced and culturally responsive. Being named a 2025 Black Ambition Semifinalist gives us the fuel and visibility to make that vision real.
We thank Black Ambition for this opportunity and congratulate our fellow semifinalists. The journey ahead is exciting—and we’re just getting started.
